EVERETT, Wash. ? More than 80 staff members and clients of an Everett mental health service have been screened for tuberculosis after health officials discovered five cases, including two deaths, may be related.
Three of the five were clients of Compass Health. The organization has been cooperating with the Snohomish Health District to screen others who may be at risk.
Health Officer Dr. Gary Goldbaum told The Daily Herald (http://is.gd/OUOWm7) the TB cases were linked through genetic typing at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
