About women and cardiovascular disease

Regardless of race or ethnicity, cardiovascular disease is the primary killer of women in the United States. While the death rate from this disease has decreased among men, it continues to increase among women. One in four women has some form of the disease, and one in three will die from it. It kills more women than all forms of cancer combined.

A women?s heart is different from a man?s. That?s why prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease differ for women, with comprehensive care available. Dr Cho discusses prevention and treatments options in this chat.
